We are seeking a highly skilled Restraints Design and Release Engineer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and releasing restraints components and systems for our new and current vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and validate automotive systems, subsystems, and components for assigned programs.
- Monitor the development of interior trim for Ford vehicles according to company-specific benchmarks.
- Design parts to comply with Corporate and Local Requirements for parts validation, considering Worldwide Customers Requirements, Engineering Specifications, and Systems Design specifications.
- Translate customer, regulatory, and product requirements into engineering targets.
- Monitor suppliers and analyze customer feedback through Ford's systems.
- Responsible for incorporating new designs and engineering changes at the Assembly Plant and leading discussions with involved parties, including suppliers.
- Support suppliers and assembly departments with current production quality and manufacturing issues.
- Support production part approval processes (PPAP) for mass production.
- 3+ years of experience working as a design and release Engineer.
- Good program management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team.
- Significant problem-solving skills previously demonstrated.
- Travel is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
