About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Scientist II to join our team in Candy LA. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for delivering RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance, and/or productivity projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing, and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks.
- Plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements.
- Write technical reports that require the analysis and interpretation of results, leading to conclusions and recommendations.
- Create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.
What We Are Looking For
- A degree in Food Science, Science, or Engineering, ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods market.
- Experience working on teams and independently with the guidance of a manager.
- Prioritizing and managing activities, identifying problems proactively, and creating and implementing solutions independently.
- Applying fundamental technical understanding to interpret and analyze data to reach clear conclusions.
- Communicating effectively verbally and in writing, including technical writing.
Education and Certifications
- Chemical Engineer, Food Engineer, Food Chemist, Biotechnologist.
Job Specific Requirements
- 3 years of experience in similar positions.
- Knowledge of office packaging (Excel).
- Knowledge of statistical tools.
- Analytical Reasoning.
- Intermediate-advanced English.
