We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Procurement Specialist to join our team at Littelfuse. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for managing a small team of indirect procurement associates to deliver optimal vendor/supplier pricing and service to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of indirect procurement associates to deliver optimal vendor/supplier pricing and service to the business.
- Lead procurement projects that affect current processes and/or suppliers/vendors.
- Support cross-functional activities with engineering, manufacturing, and business unit projects.
- Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet procurement objectives that support the business.
- Ensure that the team maintains proper controls for procurement of goods and services.
- Drive global equipment categories, leveraging global scale and bringing competitiveness to each operating region.
- Key negotiator to drive value in a category by developing a category strategy that puts Littelfuse in a favorable position.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline required. Advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of six years of experience in procurement, purchasing, project management, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- English Fluent - Professional.
- People management experience.
- Proficient in strategic sourcing process for indirect procurement; ideally leading or supporting operational and plant support categories like spare parts, capital and Equipment.
- Skilled negotiator and results-oriented.
- Understanding of market movement.
- Experience in spend and cost analysis, strong analytical skills and business acumen.
- Self-motivated and assertive with internal and external contacts.
- Ability to lead through influence.
