At Te Connectivity Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled High Speed Cable Assembly Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams, you will play a critical role in driving excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods, and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Product Development by optimizing designs and piece parts for manufacturability, and by realizing sample tooling, product samples, and prototypes.
  • Design, develop, and qualify tooling and manual/automate processes for high speed products to meet TE quality and production standards, documenting all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems.
  • Implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control, enhancing overall manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • 8 years of work experience on high-speed cable manufacturing, specifically cable assemblies for data centers, AI, and supercomputing, including cable form factors such as OSFP, QSFP, and QDD.
  • Experience to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with applicable systems (SAP, TLM, CAD etc.) and familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Strong experience to understand industry document specifications like US-CAR & IPC620.
  • Strong understanding of the cable making technology, stamping and plating technology, HSG molding technology, metal and plastic raw material characteristics.
  • Experience on product tolerance analysis, Stability using verify data analysis the processes, such as the CPK.
  • Expertise with the product development process, able to provide DFM, SOP, PFMEA, BOP, CTAR required for each phase according to the project schedule.
  • Working knowledge of manual, semi-automatic and automatic assembly processes.
