POSITION: PORTFOLIO ANALYST – MEXICO CITY

WORK SCHEDULE: Hybrid

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 3

Franklin Separately Managed Accounts (FSMA) offers a variety of options for high-net-worth investors interested in the advantages of separate account management. Our team oversees assets exceeding $8.6 billion in AUM.

We cater to clients' specific investment objectives, risk tolerance, liquidity requirements, and preferences regarding tax management, cash flow, turnover, and ongoing portfolio oversight.

By utilizing SMAs, investors can avoid the effects of actions taken in a commingled fund, such as forced asset sales due to shareholder withdrawals in a downturn. Each investor holds individual securities, distinguishing this approach from mutual fund structures.

Separate account management empowers clients to establish investment guidelines that align with their ethical and moral values, while also considering any extraordinary economic exposure from existing investments.

The Portfolio Analyst will play a crucial role in the execution and oversight of investment strategies, reporting directly to the Director of Portfolio Analytics.

  • Ensure that investment management and trading decisions are accurately executed at the individual portfolio level for relevant FSMA strategies. This includes maintaining compliance with investment guidelines, executing client-directed activities (such as deposits, withdrawals, and tax requests), and overseeing portfolio maintenance.
  • Assist with trade allocations and settlements for FSMA strategies.
  • Address inquiries from portfolio management and sponsors.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc portfolio reports for the portfolio management team.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the investment industry with a foundational understanding of portfolio management.
  • A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in economics, finance, financial engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities are necessary.
  • Demonstrated skills in information gathering, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Must be a collaborative team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential; experience with Archer or Perform is advantageous.
