About the RoleJob Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master / Software Development Lead to join our team at Amdocs Ltd. As a Scrum Master / Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of software engineers in the development of complex software components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance to software engineers through coaching and mentorship.
- Understand and drive complexity-based estimations and provide input to the software engineering manager for estimates, resource needs, milestones, and risks.
- Provide hands-on technical and functional input to development, maintenance, build, integration, and testing of complex software components.
- Represent/lead discussions related to products/applications/modules/team.
- Enforce quality processes.
- Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, provide comments and suggestions, and work with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
- Support managerial routines of Hire to Retire, mainly providing professional leadership of the team, peer feedback, and development, assuring productivity and effectiveness of the team.
- People management - Structure the team's work in a way that is best-suited to the product/service development and maximizes efficiency.
- Promote team engagement, empowerment, and motivation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience in SW Engineering role.
- 2+ years of experience in leading software engineers through project lifecycle using agile principles.
- 5+ years' hands-on experience as a Java software developer.
- 2+ years' working experience in projects on Microservices and Cloud.
- Lead at least 5 to 7 employees.
- Working experience on REST Services, Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes, No SQL DB, Kafka (Messaging queue), Helm, Knowledge about public cloud platforms (Azure Preferred), Junit.
- Working experience on CI/CD processes (Jenkins preferred), GIT & Nexus repository.
- Fluent English (at least 85% spoken) is required.
