This is a key position within our DPE group, focused on driving E-Business initiatives and technical projects forward. As a skilled Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for translating business needs into effective technical solutions using Java, AWS, JavaScript, and other E-Business technologies.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can deliver sophisticated web applications on schedule with high reliability and scalability. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Producing high-quality code and testing all delivered work to ensure it meets the required standards.
  • Collaborating with product managers, Scrum Master, Product Owner, and architects to design, develop, unit test, debug, and maintain web applications, web services, and other related features based on functional requirements and scope of work.
  • Participating in production deployment and providing assistance to the production support group as needed.

In addition, you will have opportunities to participate in performance tuning of web applications and contribute to the development of new cloud-based platforms.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in web application development using Java or similar technologies.
  • 1-2+ years of experience using Spring Boot.
  • A strong understanding of semantic HTML and CSS.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, particularly using Vue 2 or 3.
  • Familiarity with Git + Github (experience with Github Actions is helpful).
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to AWS services such as DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, etc. is a plus.

You will also benefit from experience working in Agile development environments and tools like Jira, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. A strong problem-solving ability and a demonstrated understanding of diverse environments and components are essential.

The estimated salary for this role is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
