We're seeking a talented Oracle DBA to join our team at Cognizant

Cognizant is a leading IT services provider, and we're looking for an exceptional individual to work with us as an Oracle DBA. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on high-availability systems, perform database performance optimization, and ensure the security and availability of our databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform High-Availability (clustering), and BCP/Disaster Recovery database solutions
  • Work closely with other engineering and operations teams to ensure proper integration of database infrastructure with other systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance, security, and availability
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain multiple databases to ensure necessary resources are present
  • Implement, manage, and monitor database backups to insure recoverability
  • Implements scripts for database monitoring and automate routine tasks
  • Perform database performance optimization, balancing usability and automation
