Lead the Way in Rear Lamp Development

As a Senior Chief Engineer at Hella, you will be responsible for leading the development team and coordinating the Mechanical, Electronics, Optical, Simulation, and Software domains in Rear Lamps development projects. Your expertise will ensure the technical realization of these projects, meeting legal and customer requirements, timing, and cost milestones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and analyze technical requirements from customers and develop system concepts with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Evaluate technical changes and develop solutions to implement them.
  • Represent the functions of Mechanical, Electronics, and Design in project teams and customer direction.
  • Define system breakdowns and commission project-specific development.
  • Analyze correlations and effects to ensure reliable system properties and release defined component configurations after testing.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Physics or Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering with a focus on design, lighting technology, or electronics.
  • More than 9 years of experience in developing electronic, optical, or mechanical systems, with expertise in at least one of these disciplines.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering is a plus.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary and multi-location teams, manage budget, resources, and prioritize activities to achieve customer and internal milestones.
  • Fluent in English and a high disposition to travel and mobility.
