Key Responsibilities:
  • Align target Cloud architecture with the strategic business plans for the next 3 to 5 years, making informed decisions on optimal Cloud designs.
  • Design the architecture for the Cloud platform within a diverse environment, facilitating a transition to more unified global procedures.
  • Ensure the convergence of existing platforms with the target architecture.
  • Oversee the implementation of actions outlined in the current platform Convergence Plan.
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of obsolescence, technical debts, and assess associated risks and costs.
  • Proactively propose action plans addressing obsolescence and required technical skills.
  • Support the Center of Excellence Leader for the Americas in Cloud Governance and Adoption initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with Global Cloud Team members worldwide.
  • Engage with Business Unit DevOps Leaders and CTOs as needed across the Americas.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements.
  • Utilize expertise to troubleshoot complex incidents.
  • Resolve issues in existing solutions with poorly documented Cloud designs, contributing to documentation as necessary.
  • Evaluate the current information system, including applications, infrastructure, and security.
  • Select technologies based on various constraints such as cost, time, and security.
  • Ensure alignment of new projects with the target architecture.
  • Verify compliance of each project with the established target architecture.
  • Propose transitional solutions when necessary, considering technical debt and compliance costs.
  • Uphold best practices in information systems architecture, including documentation, continuity, security, and interoperability with market standards.
  • Design Infrastructure as Code scripts for automating Cloud components, with a preference for Azure Resource Management and Terraform.
  • Maintain Azure Resource Management or Terraform templates in the GIT repository and approve templates for catalog items.
  • Define pre-approved services from certified Clouds (Azure and AWS) in collaboration with the Global Cloud team and Global Technology.
  • Bring over 5 years of experience in Enterprise Cloud initiatives and projects, designing and supporting corporate environments.
  • Possess a minimum of 8 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience managing large Cloud environments globally.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing Azure Subscriptions and resources or AWS account management.
  • Show proficiency in deploying and managing Virtual Machines.
  • Have experience in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Azure or AWS.
  • Exhibit skills in creating and deploying applications.
  • Utilize PowerShell scripts effectively.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Possess relevant certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
