As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods. Your focus will be on ensuring the most efficient and productive layout of manufacturing equipment.
- You will design the arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Specify procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapt machinery in response to factory conditions.
- Conduct tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshoot/solve production problems.
- Provide guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
This role requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include:
- Working independently with general supervision.
- Facing difficult but typically not complex problems.
- Influencing others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
