**Job Summary**

Grupo Prodensa is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team in Mexico. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and develop departmental team leads, overseeing a shift of over 20 personnel engaged in the manufacturing of Nitinol Products.
  2. Plan and coordinate production activities to optimize human resources, direct materials, and equipment utilization.
  3. Provide strategic advice to management on new developments affecting profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and inter-departmental relations.
  4. Schedule labor within the assigned department, including overtime, vacations, leave of absences, and training to ensure timely completion.
  5. Approve weekly time records for the department.
  6. Provide timely performance feedback and annual reviews.
  7. Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies to improve operations and develop recommendations.
  8. Apply LEAN Principles, Manufacturing Excellence, and 4CP principles to drive process improvements in the department.
  9. Escalate machining issues to material control/master scheduler impacting production schedules.
  10. Develop capital equipment justifications for machines, machine tools, and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent university degree.
  2. Advanced English language proficiency.
  3. 4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Medical Device Industry, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  4. Working knowledge of progressive management technologies, such as Lean Manufacturing, JIT, MRP, and ERP.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  6. Ensure adherence to business/JM EHS standards and prioritize safety over production requirements.
  7. Excellent communication skills to exchange information with shift operators, operational management, and peers in associated processes.
  8. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  9. Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
  10. Ability to influence others through technical knowledge or rational arguments.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday.
