Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Technical Advisor to join our Google Cloud team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams.

About the Job

The Google Cloud team helps companies, schools, and government agencies make the switch to Google products and supports them along the way. As a Cloud Infrastructure Technical Advisor, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to customers, solving complex Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps challenges, and creating best practices recommendations and tutorials.

Responsibilities
  • Be a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps challenges.
  • Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
  • Travel regularly (up to 30%) in-region for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience managing internal or client-facing projects to completion.
  • Experience coding in one or more languages such as Python, Scala, Java, Go, or similar.
  • Experience working with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, OpenStack, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Jenkins).
  • Experience with scalable networking technologies (such as Load Balancers, Firewalls) and web standards (like REST APIs, web security mechanisms).
  • Experience in system administration tasks in Linux, Unix, or other operating systems.
  • Understanding of open source server software (such as NGINX, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch).
  • Familiarity with standard IT security practices (such as encryption, certificates, key management).
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
