In this role, you'll leverage your supplier quality engineering background in mechanical hardware production to resolve issues and drive improvements. You'll work closely with our manufacturing partners to establish processes, control plans, and quality management systems that meet customer-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Onboard new manufacturing partners and develop existing ones to ensure they meet customer-specific requirements
- Establish control plans to build quality in and use Fictiv's supplier maturity model and manufacturing partner scorecards to plan improvement activities
- Coach manufacturing partners in effective root cause analysis and the execution of robust corrective and preventive actions
- Continually improve Fictiv's quality management system to give customers confidence in our processes
- Represent the voice of the customer at manufacturing partners and potentially grow into a leadership position as the Mexico Quality Team grows
- 7 years of experience working with suppliers in Sheet metal and Injection Molded parts
- 2 years of experience in other areas of Quality management, e.g., in-house Quality Engineer
- Strong knowledge of APQP and product launch processes, including PPAP development
- Expertise in reading and comprehending part prints with a detailed understanding of GD&T fundamentals
- Skilled with various forms of hand metrology and inspection methodologies to ensure conformance to specifications
