Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer

Location: North America - Remote

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines within the AWS cloud environment. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing data models that support specific business needs and analytical requirements, developing and maintaining a clear and standardized data schema to ensure data consistency and ease of access, and building and managing data lakes, ensuring the availability, consistency, and security of data for various data consumers.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in cloud-based data technologies, particularly within the AWS ecosystem, and experience with services such as Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, AWS EMR, and AWS Lambda. They will also have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to identify issues, troubleshoot data-related problems, and propose effective solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Cloud Data Expertise: Proficiency in cloud-based data technologies, particularly within the AWS ecosystem.
  • Data Modeling Expertise: Proficiency in data modeling methodologies, including conceptual, logical, and physical modeling.
  • AWS Data Experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience working with various AWS data services and tools for data storage, processing, and integration.
  • Data Lake Management: Experience in designing, implementing, and managing data lakes, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage strategies.
  • BI and Analytics Tools: Understanding of business intelligence and analytics concepts. Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues, troubleshoot data-related problems, and propose effective solutions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
