**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. The successful candidate will plan and execute procedures and policies related to cost-related accounting activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
**Key Responsibilities:*
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide financial reports to management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Support annual financial planning, monthly forecasting, and closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Oversee regional statutory financial reporting, audit, tax, accounting for manufacturing, and cash management.
- Analyze product manufacturing costs and profitability.
- Ensure month-end entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Develop, monitor, and update budgets and forecasts for western hemisphere operations.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand budgetary requirements and provide financial guidance.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and manage tax reporting and filing aspects.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and ensure company policies align with local laws and regulations.
- Monitor incoming legislation and regulations, evaluate their impact, and advise management on necessary actions.
- Establish and maintain internal control safeguards to ensure financial record accuracy.
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential risks and implement corrective measures.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of financial procedures, processes, and guidelines to improve business operations.
- Manage internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS accounting procedures and standards.
- ERP accounting system experience, preferably SAP.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience working with Maquiladoras companies and their regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
**Estimated Salary:** $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
