About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Vertiv. As a key member of our manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for driving process improvements, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to drive business results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement lean manufacturing processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with safety and health departments to ensure a safe working environment and design ergonomically friendly production areas.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives through process design, tooling acquisition, and capital equipment optimization.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and associates on production line volumes, quality, safety, and delivery performance.
  • Oversee the transition of products from internal and external sources to our manufacturing plant, including buy vs. make decisions and job move programs.
  • Document products through the use of Bills of Materials, Routers, Value Stream Maps, Flow Charts, and other documentation tools.
  • Predictive, preventative, and reactive maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure high Overall Cycle Efficiency (OCE).
  • Oversee capital equipment and small tooling required for assigned manufacturing or quality area, including programming, calibration, and adjustment of machines.
  • Utilize software such as Auto-Cad and PRO-E for documentation and drawing of products.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure objectives are met.
  • Implement appropriation requests for machines, software, or tooling through written documentation with supporting information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of high-level experience in manufacturing or engineering.
  • Ability to work in a large, global corporate structure.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving skills, taking responsibility, and delivering results with a spirit of innovation and commitment to excellence.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required (read, write, and speak).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Software, with advanced PowerPoint skills required.
  • Desirable experience using MRP or Enterprise systems in Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • Experience in drafting tools such as PRO-E, Auto-Cad, or others.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics is a plus.
  • Six Sigma or other SPC quality tools.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrating ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
