Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Signal Integrity Engineer to join our team at Intel. As a key member of our Data Platforms Engineering and Architecture (DPEA) Group, you will be responsible for developing platform interconnect design guidelines for state-of-the-art server platforms that support the latest processors and other server products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with silicon designers, platform designers, and electrical validation teams to develop high-speed IO interconnect channels.
  • Develop package and platform design guidelines to ensure optimal signal integrity.
  • Define and evaluate circuit design features to support interconnect performance requirements.
  • Create signal measurement test plans and review measurement results.
  • Correlate measurements to simulations and support signal integrity tool and methodology development.
Requirements
  • Intermediate to advanced English language proficiency.
  • Signal Integrity experience supporting high-speed/low-speed signals and memory interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and DDR.
  • Fundamental knowledge of transmission line theory and high-speed/low-speed PCB design.
  • Experience with EDA tools, simulation tools, and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of Intel Architecture and design of experiments (DOE) and statistical knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Transmission line modeling using Field Solvers and electromagnetic simulators.
  • Lab equipment experience, including TDR, VNA, digital oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Experience with silicon devices modeling methods, such as IBIS-AMI or Verilog-A.
  • PCB layout process and methodology experience.
  • Board-level system architecture and basic silicon design IO structures and topologies knowledge.
