Job Summary:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer II at American Standard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high quality of our products through effective testing and quality control processes. You will supervise NPD product testing activities, maintain existing processes, and ensure that correct testing procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise testing activities and ensure the technical competences of laboratory technicians under your charge.
  • Ensure the training of technicians and that testing activities are performed in accordance with the appropriate regulations and internal quality procedures.
  • Responsible for the quality of test results, being an official signatory.
  • Responsible for the safety of the equipment in charge, ensuring that there are no unsafe conditions in the hydraulic laboratory.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of the hydraulic performance of products and share the results of improvement proposals with the process responsible.
  • Responsible for the review and validation of internal technical processes, as well as the maintenance and verification of inspection, measurement, and test equipment and instruments.
  • Manage statistical tools for quality reporting.

Requirements:

  • Education: Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or Technical experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Concepts of metrology.
    • Statistical tools.
    • Intermediate level English language proficiency.
    • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Focused on results.
    • Honesty and integrity.

    • Use of Minitab.

    • NOM-005-CONAGUA-1996 Flushometers.
    • NOM-009-CONAGUA-2001 Toilets for sanitary use - specifications and test methods.
    • NOM-010-CONAGUA-2000 Inlet valve and discharge valve for toilet tank - specifications and test methods.

Certifications Required:

  • B.S. in engineering or work experience.
  • ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
  • ISO 9001:2015.
  • ISO 19011:2018.
