**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer Associate to join our team at Chubb. As a Data Engineer Associate, you will play a key role in designing and implementing comprehensive data solutions that meet business requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing and implementing data pipelines to support business operations
  • Developing and programming experience in data integration tools such as Informatica, Python, ADF, Azure Synapse, Cosmos, and Databricks
  • Ensuring enterprise data policies, best practices, standards, and processes are followed
  • Accountable for designing and implementing comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements and incrementally move the data ecosystem to the future state
  • Writing up and maintaining technical specifications, design documents, and process flows
  • Elaborating user stories for technical teams and ensuring that the team understands the deliverables
  • Effectively communicating, coordinating, and collaborating with business, IT architecture, and technical teams across multi-functional areas to complete deliverables
  • Providing direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project
  • Working with large amounts of data, interpreting data, analyzing results, performing gap analysis, and providing ongoing reports
  • Handling ad-hoc analysis and report generation requests from the business and responding to data-related inquiries to support business and technical teams

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of proven working experience in ETL methodologies, data integration, and data migration
  • Informatica IICS hands-on development skills
  • Solid understanding of property and casualty insurance data
  • Technical expertise regarding data architecture, models, and database design development
  • Fluent in various database technologies such as SQL server, Oracle, Azure Synapse, and Cosmos
  • Good knowledge of and experience with T-SQL, XML's, Python, ETL frameworks, and Databricks
  • Working knowledge/familiarity with Git version control
  • Good knowledge of analyzing datasets using Excel
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in learning new technologies with the ability to quickly understand capabilities and work with others to guide these into development
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Solid problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge and working experience with Duck creek is an added plus
  • Knowledge and working experience with Insurity Policy Decisions and/or IEV is an added plus
  • Experience with JIRA
