Operational Buyer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to join our Vehicle Aftermarket team in Puebla, Mexico. As a key member of our purchasing team, you will be responsible for streamlining our purchasing processes across Latin America, with a focus on Mexico, Colombia, and the Andean countries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide market data and information to global category managers and identify new/additional suppliers for the Americas, enhancing our supplier base and procurement capabilities.
• Manage supplier contracts, Bill of Materials changes, and ensure integrity and excellence in all processes.
• Support the Request for Quotation process by working together with Product Managers and Category Managers.
• Review purchase requisitions and identify sources of supply for spot buys.
• Manage Vehicle Aftermarket sourcing projects when delegated by the Global Category Manager.
• Support the Purchasing Business Plan, Forecasts, and Standard Cost Calculation.
• Actively contribute to and facilitate collaboration between the purchasing and supply chain planning teams, promoting collaboration and excellence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management, Industrial Engineer, Business, or similar.
• Proven operational experience in purchasing within the Latin American market and strong understanding of purchasing strategies and supplier management.
• Quotation and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience from stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
