About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sustaining Engineer - HVAC Design to join our team at Daikin Manufacturing México. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing of existing HVAC platforms and introducing new product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D models and 2D production drawings/layouts using Creo or Solid Edge, ensuring accuracy and precision in design.
- Plan, coordinate, and check Engineering CAD design changes prior to review, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Design new and existing 3D models based on DFM principles, optimizing product performance and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve product design.
- Manage the resolution of CAD-related issues and tasks, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Material using PLM systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Creo 2.0 and up (Pro-sheet metal, Pro-piping, and Solid modeling).
- Proficiency in Solid Edge ST4 and up (sheet metal, Xpress route, and Solid modeling).
- Advanced level design skills in 3D modeling, with a focus on HVAC systems.
- Excellent mechanical design and hands-on background, with a strong understanding of product design and engineering change processes.
- Working experience in PLM systems such as Team Center and/or SAP.
- 5+ years of sheet metal design or equipment design and design for manufacturability experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or similar field.
