As a Sustaining Engineer at Daikin Manufacturing México, you will play a critical role in supporting the manufacturing of existing platforms and introducing new product lines. You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure effective communication between Product Development teams in Houston and Japan, and the SLP RAQA team.
- Clarify doubts from all areas involved in the production chain to maintain an efficient and timely communication flow.
- Review, approve, or reject Engineering Change Notice (ECN) requests from various departments.
- Prepare reports with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for new vendors and implement Cost Improvement Projects (CIP) to reduce product costs.
- Collaborate on tasks assigned by Management and support product certification as needed.
- Develop required design changes to resolve operational issues or performance concerns.
- Knowledge of Solid Edge or AutoCad, ERP SAP or Oracle, Microsoft Office 365, Project Office, Visio, and software for simulations of coils and refrigeration cycles.
- Advanced knowledge of product life cycle management and project management.
- Strong organizational skills and English language proficiency.
- Understanding of finished and component parts functions, and ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
- Experience with 3D modeling software, preferably Solid Edge.
