About the Role:

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Science Delivery Manager to join our team in Monterrey, Mexico. As part of our DBS Function, you will work closely with the Insights and Foresights Business intelligence team in Canada.

Your primary responsibilities will include working with a group of diverse and highly skilled team members in Monterrey, as part of a DBS Hub in Mexico. You will combine technical expertise with business understanding to provide data-driven solutions supporting the Canadian business unit to make better decisions, providing objective, timely, and relevant solutions/analysis.

You will manage a team of 4 personnel comprising of 2 data analysts, 1 data engineer, and a data science executive. Your key responsibilities will include building and improving visual tools for application development and data science that enable users to build an end-to-end application quickly and supervising the POS & VAPS data process to ensure OTIF delivery of performance reporting.

Design core elements, and properties by understanding the software requirements, constraints, interfaces, and dependencies. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code and identify and tackle technical challenges, and proactively propose solutions to improve the application architecture and performance.

Active participation in cross-team technical design discussions on application architecture, UI components, UX, back-end and third-party integration, and testing and create and establish data pipelines that enable an accurate and timely read on performance at all levels of the organization.

Support in creating an ETL pipeline automating both the POS and VAPS process that's highly critical for the company to understand performance and work with Key account and trade team to create & maintain the ETL process.

Enable and drive effective data management architecture for a fully scalable and digital Trade application and support in the deployment of brand new sophisticated analytics solutions for trade and head office that cover FMCG and NC (eg. Event based sims, geospatial analytics, IR).

Leverage partnerships with Data & Analytics CoE and external suppliers to deliver sophisticated analytics projects and establish standard methodologies for new tools and technologies and bring new ideas to the data science practice and support the augmentation of the data science roadmap.

Lead and prioritize new developments in our environments, including new data sources across channels and categories to ensure the enablement of efficient performance tracking and effective insights generation across Marketing.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone with 5 years or more in a similar role in a corporate environment, with a consistent track record of business delivery. Experience working with & leading data scientists in developing products and experience building ML, AI or NLP models is essential.

Collaborates and communicates with project team regarding project progress and issue resolution and suggests changes or improvements. Excellent computer and statistical programming skills – Python and Matlab preferred, also SQL, R.

Knowledge in: Azure (Databricks, Spark, Pyspark, SQL) or equivalent on other stacks; power BI or other visualization tool; MicroStrategy or other self-service reporting; Math (Statistics, Linear Algebra, Understanding of AI, ML models). Understanding of Project Management and PSPO Agile methodologies.

Demonstrable understanding of MicroStrategy and Power BI is crucial. Bachelor's degree or higher in a field such as Computer science, or Analytics.
