Job Title: Sr. EH&S Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. EH&S Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, administering, and implementing environmental programs in accordance with governmental requirements. This includes monitoring pollution prevention activities, compliance, and auditing efforts, as well as conducting studies and preparing environmental impact reports for plant processes and permit changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with federal, state, and local regulators to resolve compliance issues and establish permit requirements.
  • Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
  • Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies.
  • Develop proactive prevention systems for anticipating and responding to events.
  • Provide expertise, advice, information, and tools relating to effective hygiene and safety management.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience as EHS Engineer.
  • Knowledge of Mexican safety and hygiene regulations and understanding of OSHA standards.
  • Business understanding and involvement.
  • Solid understanding and experience to drive safety or EHS internal and external audits.
  • Experience managing and leading projects.
  • Able to analyze data and create action plans with solid results.
  • Experience setting and managing department objectives.
  • Able to interact at all levels.
  • Analytic and negotiation skills.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).
