Job Description

Overview:

Plexus, a global organization with headquarters in the United States, is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering Operations to lead its Design Center. This role involves strategically directing and managing activities, developing long-range goals, and reviewing costs to ensure sound resource use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective customer escalation relationships to ensure project success, including financial, schedule, quality, and customer perceptions.
  • Ensure personnel development for technical and leadership skills, including site succession planning.
  • Effectively work with all other Design Centers, sharing best practices, promoting work sharing, and achieving regional strategies.
  • Manage Design Center P&L, forecasting revenue and expenses, including headcount and capital expenditure investments.
  • Work with Plexus Engineering leadership to determine vision and strategic direction, creating and driving Design Center vision and culture.
  • Accountable for executing on Plexus' Best People strategy, focusing on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and employee development.
  • Ensure timely communication of critical information to Plexus Engineering customer management employees.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably with a Master's degree in Business Administration.
  • Eight years of related experience, with a minimum of three years in product development and project management.
  • Understanding of product development methodologies for various engineering disciplines.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, team building, management, organizational, presentation, and leadership skills.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
