Culinary Artist

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Artist to join our team at JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing special meals, substituting items, and maintaining food logs. You will also be responsible for regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters, pulling food from freezer storage, and ensuring proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.

1. Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed
2. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking results
3. Pull food from freezer storage and thaw in the refrigerator as required
4. Maintain accurate food logs to track inventory and sales
5. Monitor quality and quantity of prepared food and communicate with Chef as needed

To be successful in this role, you should have:

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required
2. Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred
3. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential
4. Ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment

This position requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, reaching overhead, and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. You will also be required to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
