A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Financial Controller in LATAM, you will be responsible for managing and performing financial tasks, including performance and operational controlling in the SE TI Steam Turbines & Generator Service Business in the LATAM region.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead and coordinate the management of budgeting/forecasting and actual reporting, including deviations and corrective measures/actions in the LATAM region.
  • Analyze and ensure the accuracy of cost reports and allocations.
  • Drive process optimization and digitalization/automation in your area of responsibility and foster continuous improvements to increase cost transparency and accuracy.
  • Clarify, elaborate, and optimize all relevant commercial issues, such as analyzing and determining the business model (NCM, consortium, subcontractor, split contract), preparation of relevant documents, tax concept, insurance, currency issues, compliance, ECC, cash flow, review of NDA/MoU, etc.
  • Support controllers in the region to optimize processes and information.
  • Support the Commercial Project Manager (CPM) in managing financial results according to set targets and optimizing the project gross profit, cash flow, and assets and financing instruments.
  • Proactively manage quality in reporting and ensure strict compliance with corporate guidelines and standards.

What You Bring

  • A degree in Business/Finance/Accounting.
  • More than 5 years of working experience.
  • Team-orientation and ability to work with cross-functional, cross-regional teams.
  • Highly motivated and proactive, with excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with high interpersonal skills (team player, negotiation skills, leadership skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and presentation).
  • An eye for business, sound decision-making, analytical, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional English and Spanish required, with Portuguese being a benefit.
  • A positive attitude to work in a challenging environment and embracing a high-performance culture.
  • Solid knowledge of international trade, accounting, and finance, as well as contract law.
