Quality Assurance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Apply quality engineering principles to assure quality of supplied components.
- Develop and drive supplier quality system and supply chain management continuous improvement.
- Lead cross-functional teams to solve quality events and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with suppliers, sourcing, engineering, and plant quality to reduce supplier non-conformances and defects.
- Identify high-risk suppliers and develop quality performance improvement plans.
- Promote Statistical Process Control (SPC) and continuous improvement techniques at suppliers to reduce variability.
- Review supplier process change requests and collaborate to understand risk and determine requirements for validation.
- Assist suppliers to maintain 100% PPAP compliance.
- Train suppliers on Polaris quality tools and root cause/corrective action tools.
- Provide support and feedback to the Global Business Unit on supplier suitability.
- Develop improvement activities to meet department goals for DPM and corrective action effectiveness.
- Monitor supplier-caused warranty and drive corrective action to meet Global Business Unit targets.
- Conduct Supplier Quality Manufacturing System Audits as required.
Requirements:
- BS Degree in Engineering or Technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to write technical reports.
- Advanced English verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of quality-related tools and ability to establish collaborative working relationships.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced office/plant environment.
- Up to 40% of time on site at supplier.
