Job Summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Senior Cost and Inventory Financial Analyst to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and review cost of goods sold (COGS) structure, BOMs, and routings to ensure profitability and accurate absorption rates.
  • Support operations and other functions through timely and accurate financial goal achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager (Plant Controller) to ensure financial accounting activities comply with USGAP, MXGAP, local statutory requirements, and Eaton Corporate policies.
  • Coordinate cost accounting processes and cost maintenance to ensure accuracy of BOMs, routings, and standard costs.
  • Develop and analyze forecasts and actual performance metrics.
  • Prepare profit plans, rolling forecasts, and weekly performance reports for cost and inventory-related metrics.
  • Review and analyze departmental budget systems and develop reports for management use.
  • Provide business partnership and functional expertise to plant personnel.
  • Act as an advisor and provide counsel on financial operations and interpretation of financial information.
  • Partner with materials and quality teams to ensure controls are in place.
  • Lead processes to identify and quantify cost-out opportunities.
  • Support implementation of improvements to monthly closing procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of data to Eaton systems.
  • Coordinate annual physical inventory and ensure compliance with corporate procedures.
  • Establish and monitor compliance with internal accounting controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment and cost accounting.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proficient in MS Office toolset, especially spreadsheets software packages such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience in Oracle and Mapics is a strong plus.
  • Sound working knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and local statutory requirements (MX GAAP).
  • Understanding of global business issues, including foreign currency impacts and local customs and duty requirements.
  • Knowledge of business development, cost and inventory accounting, finance, and accounting.
