As an Automotive Product Marketing Strategist at Synaptics Inc., you will play a key role in driving product definition, strategy, and business development. You will partner closely with engineering teams to shape our product roadmap and own the launch of new features and initiatives that will accelerate our growth, drive user satisfaction, and develop our brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research new technologies and identify opportunities in adjacent markets to drive innovation and growth
  • Conduct competitive research to better understand our market segments and implement strategies for differentiation
  • Define new differentiating products for the automotive market and create the go-to-market strategy
  • Enable the Sales team by being the expert on our products and develop compelling, effective collateral to ensure Sales team success
  • Partner with engineering teams to shape the product roadmap and implement tight feedback cycles between customers and the product team
  • Candidate must have thorough knowledge of semiconductor marketing principles, brand, product and service management, sales and business development along with a demonstrated track record of success and performance
  • Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, analytical mindset, strong organizational skills, results-oriented mindset, high integrity, reliability, responsiveness, sense of urgency and accountability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's (or advanced) degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science or related field, or equivalent; MBA a plus
  • 12 years industry experience with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in product/technical marketing, with a background in some of the following markets: automotive, semiconductor, high speed connectivity, touch, and display
  • Past experience in directly working with automotive customers and eco system partners. Experience working with automotive display suppliers a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various automotive electronics such as infotainment systems, battery management, connectivity etc
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with product, sales, PR and multiple functions within marketing
  • Exposure to working in a global environment managing product marketing activities with internal teams and markets in all regions especially the Asia Pacific region
  • Proven marketing expertise with experience defining and successfully launching innovative products in the automotive market
  • 20% travel, both domestic and international

Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience
