Role Summary
The Rainforest Alliance seeks a seasoned professional to lead fundraising efforts in Mesoamerica, with a focus on institutional donors and strategic partnerships. This role requires a strong understanding of the region's fundraising landscape and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to secure funding for the organization's priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of key institutional donors and strategic partners in Mesoamerica, with a focus on securing funding for the organization's priorities.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify new funding opportunities and trends in the region, and develop strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
- Collaborate with the global Institutional Relations team and regional teams to develop and implement a regional fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization's global priorities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and colleagues, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to program staff on fundraising and partnership development, and ensure that all fundraising efforts are aligned with the organization's global priorities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in fundraising, specifically in institutional relations and strategic partnerships.
- Proven track record of success in securing funding from institutional donors and developing strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of the fundraising landscape in Mesoamerica and the ability to develop effective strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and accountability.
