Job Title: Principal Cloud Operations Engineer

Solve complex problems related to cloud infrastructure services, handle customer incident tickets, and deploy software in test or production systems. This critical role helps ensure the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Oracle standards and methods for large-scale distributed systems
  • Facilitate service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning
  • Work with product teams on shared full-stack ownership of services and technology areas
  • Understand end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and behavioral characteristics of production services
  • Responsible for mitigating critical customer incidents and deployments or testing required to improve security, performance, availability, and scalability of services

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of scripting languages, Linux/Unix systems, server hardware and software configuration, networking, standard internet services, cloud computing patterns, technology security, and compliance
  • Experience running large-scale customer-facing web services
  • Identifies solutions to understanding of load balancing technologies and experience with databases and big data stores, and container technologies
  • Work involves defining and documenting technical architecture of complex and highly scalable products
