Plexus is seeking a highly skilled Test Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating production test equipment, troubleshooting and repairing defective products, maintaining test equipment, monitoring test performance and yield information, and providing technical support to other factory personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and review failure trend information and work with the Test, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineer teams to implement solutions that improve product yield through the test process.
  • Actively listen to internal customers and participate as a member of the sector team to support external customer satisfaction.
  • Operate test equipment on a daily basis, including flying probe, In-circuit, and functional testing.
  • Support preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime of test equipment.
  • Train production associates or other test technicians on proper operation of test equipment, including development of training documents or assembly-specific build instructions.
  • Use test failure reports, schematics, datasheets, and other tools to accurately troubleshoot assembly or system level failures to the component level.
  • Collaborate with Test Engineers and/or the customer to gain further knowledge of functionality when information is not available.
  • Provide break fix support for test equipment as necessary.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Basic hand repair of assemblies.
  • Support implementation of engineering change orders.
  • Support the development of documentation for operational or technical training.
  • Operate test equipment (may include flying probe, In-circuit test, functional).
  • Support reactive maintenance (test equipment).
  • Train operators how to properly utilize test equipment and instructions.
  • Minimal travel may be required to meet business needs.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree is preferred; an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Less than one (1) year of related experience is preferred; One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred.
  • The employee must successfully complete all internal training courses offered by Plexus necessary to do the job.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. This role offers opportunities for growth and professional development within a dynamic and innovative company.
