Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team at Knorr-Bremse. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for performing hands-on engineering lab testing assignments associated with product support, cost reduction, and manufacturing of air brake products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently evaluate problems or opportunities, identify solutions, and apply standard engineering analysis tools to evaluate and select solutions.
  • Work closely with product engineers to plan and perform engineering tests and development assignments associated with ongoing product support, cost reduction, and manufacturing.
  • Set up, instrument, and perform tests on pneumatic products, fabricating and automating tests as required.
  • Acquire and document test data from numeric and non-numeric sources.
  • Write and publish test reports, documenting results and making conclusions and recommendations.
  • Maintain test records and equipment according to ISO procedures.
  • Assist with or lead Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (DFMEA's and PFMEA's).
  • Provide support and recommendations to quality opportunities.
  • Coordinate and execute test laboratory equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Engineering.
  • Bilingual (100%).
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt certification preferred.
