Production Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at A. O. Smith Corporation. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our plant, directing the work force, and meeting daily production schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of leaders and workers to achieve production goals.
- Verify adherence to manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues and improve product quality.
- Investigate and resolve workplace incidents, providing support for corrective actions.
- Develop and implement plans to motivate workers and achieve work goals.
- Manage employee time, absenteeism, and vacation paperwork, ensuring timely completion.
- Develop and promote positive relations with employees through effective communication.
- Investigate conflicts and discipline personnel within the manufacturing department.
- Coordinate and implement cross-training, manufacturing training, and departmental rotation plans.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist leaders in solving work problems.
- Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and implement corrective procedures.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities and achieve departmental goals.
- Study production schedules, estimate man-hours requirements, and make action plans to meet production targets.
- Responsible for timely completion of all manufacturing production schedules, including subassemblies, service requirements, and department requests.
- Ensure product quality meets established company guidelines and specifications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of related work experience, with 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Experience in manufacturing and supervision.
- Ability to prepare and interpret various metrics and reports.
- Effective communication skills via written and oral.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.).
- Valid Driver's License.
