We are seeking an experienced Carrier Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing strong relationships with motor carriers to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide and negotiate freight rates with motor carriers to ensure maximum profitability on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Coordinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipment.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with motor carriers through exceptional service and support.
- Maintain accurate records of open truck shipments and trailers in assigned areas.
- Communicate with motor carriers to schedule trucks and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Verify freight charges, confirm receipt of Bill of Lading, and resolve payables discrepancies prior to final payment to the motor carrier.
- Monitor Bill of Lading discrepancies to ensure proper return of commodity is arranged when necessary.
Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong communication skills both orally and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Pro-active problem solver and listener; able to multitask.
- 1-2 years of business experience in a bilingual environment.
- Logistics experience preferred but not required.
Compensation and Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $28,000 per month, paid bi-weekly.
In addition, we offer a range of benefits including:
- Limited health insurance coverage.
- A 30-day Christmas bonus or prorated percentage for the first year.
- Vacation time starting at 12 days, increasing per Mexican Law.
- Premium vacation days (Prima vacacional).
- Saving Plan (Fondo de Ahorro) and Food Coupons (Vales De Despensa) 6% or the maximum amount by Mexican Law.
- A cell phone allowance of $800 pesos per month minus applicable taxes.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with a standard Monday to Friday, daytime work schedule. On-site employment.
