Job Summary

In the rapidly evolving automotive industry, regulatory compliance is becoming increasingly complex. Companies must adapt their product lineups to meet stringent regulations while maintaining competitive and appealing offerings that meet customer demands.

The Regulatory Compliance Expert will play a pivotal role in Nissan's future planning, working closely with Product Planning to identify and prioritize new powertrain technologies and vehicle concepts that align with regulatory requirements.

This position involves:

  • Developing strategies to ensure Nissan's future vehicle and powertrain lineup complies with emissions standards
  • Analyzing the efficiency of various powertrains and emissions countermeasures to optimize the vehicle lineup by balancing cost, profit, and market needs
  • Providing clear data and recommendations to project teams and executive leadership to inform product decisions
  • Studying and monitoring industry trends through external benchmarking
  • Creating new tools and methodologies to analyze data and evaluate performance
  • Data visualization to translate complex regulations into easy-to-understand product strategy recommendations
  • Analyzing compliance benefits of potential new mobility ventures
  • Quantifying the impact of new or potential regulation changes
  • Negotiating with other OEMs on emissions credit sales and purchases as part of Nissan's overall compliance strategy
  • Coordinating with NML and R&D to prepare annual compliance reports to government agencies

Requirements

Salary Range

We offer an estimated salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
