Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our team at Knorr-Bremse. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating multiple new product launch programs and initiatives with respect to manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage other manufacturing engineers in large capital projects (>$1 million)
- Develop cost estimates on machining and assembly processes within assigned projects
- Estimate and manage capital requests for equipment within assigned projects
- Act as liaison between suppliers and new equipment installations
- Collaborate with manufacturing plants personnel on major project changes and operations improvement projects
- Participate in review of and provide related technical and directional input regarding operations-related standards and strategies
- Supervise engineering and manufacturing teams to execute and deliver products within approved timelines and budget
- Conduct regular project meetings with management and team members to track project status and progress
- Identify, create, and update related corporate standards and strategies
- Mentor and train fellow employees on manufacturing systems and technical expertise
- Work with CoCs to drive processes to completion and ensure project deadlines are met
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 15 years of related experience or master's degree in engineering with 10 years of related experience
- Demonstrated engineering support for complex manufacturing facilities of at least 100,000 sq ft
- Large project and/or program management experience
- Due diligence and mergers and acquisition experience
- Advanced automotive or aerospace experience
- Machining knowledge a plus
- General international and more specific experience in Mexico required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project/program management certification (PMI)
- Formalized training in business finance
- Formalized training in statistical techniques
