Job Description

As a key member of the Bosch team, the Manufacturing Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of quality requirements for series productions and manufacturing processes. This will be achieved through the effective use of quality core tools, problem-solving methodologies, and applicable digital quality tools, all in line with Bosch's directives and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 8D Team Leader: Lead, manage, and coordinate customer complaints for manufacturing (FA/SMT) to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
  • PS Expert & Facilitator: Provide expertise and facilitate problem-solving for all customer complaints in manufacturing, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintenance of Quality Assurance Matrix (QAM) and related Q tools: Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of quality tools and processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Actively Coordinate Actions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce customer complaints and internal escapes, focusing on AOI and functional escapes.
  • Lessons Learned: Share and evaluate lessons learned to drive sustainability and continuous improvement.
  • System and Procedure Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing systems and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Internal Defect Cost (IDC) and Fall Off Rate (FOR) Reduction: Drive initiatives to reduce IDC and FOR, ensuring compliance with Bosch's quality standards.
  • LPA and Gembas: Perform layered process audits and Gembas to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Quality Controls: Reinforce quality controls and ensure compliance with Bosch's quality standards.
  • Supplier Claims: Create internal claims towards suppliers for follow-up by PQA, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Regular Communication: Maintain regular communication with the IPN team on quality-related topics, ensuring seamless collaboration and information sharing.
  • Material Release: Follow up on material on 'HOLD' to ensure timely release and documentation.
  • ALR Process Champion: Champion the ALR process, ensuring its effective implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Quality Controls Monitoring: Monitor quality controls according to PFMEA, ensuring compliance with Bosch's quality standards.
  • Collaboration with SMT/FA Group: Work closely with the SMT/FA group to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Quality Basics Champion: Champion Quality Basics 1, 2, and 14, ensuring their effective implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Control Plan: Develop and maintain control plans to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Line Releases: Participate in line releases, taking manufacturing quality responsibilities after SOP.
  • Quality Tools: Ensure the effective use of quality tools, including maturity assessments, quality gates, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Promote Problem-Solving and Quality Tools: Promote the use of problem-solving and quality tools to drive continuous improvement.
  • Internal Defect Cost (IDC) and Fall Off Rate (FOR) Reports: Maintain accurate reports on IDC and FOR, ensuring compliance with Bosch's quality standards.
  • Maintenance of CP and PFMEA: Maintain control plans and PFMEA, ensuring their accuracy and effectiveness.
  • EWS Maintenance: Maintain the Early Warning System (EWS) to ensure timely detection and resolution of quality issues.
  • Non-Conformities: Follow up and close non-conformities related to product quality or process control, ensuring compliance with Bosch's quality standards.
  • Capability Studies: Perform capability studies for human inspections, ensuring compliance with Bosch's quality standards.
  • WSR 'Manufacturing Quality Checklist': Maintain the WSR 'Manufacturing Quality Checklist', ensuring its accuracy and effectiveness.
