About the Role
As a Senior Visualization Engineer, you will be instrumental in enhancing Reporting and Visualization for Analytics, facilitating a data-driven transformation across various business processes. Your role will involve developing and implementing solutions that maximize data value and elevate consumer satisfaction. You will engage with extensive datasets, optimizing data solutions while ensuring their availability, reliability, and performance. Your proficiency in tools such as SAP Business Objects 4.x, Tableau, Analysis for Office (AFO), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) will be vital in our pursuit of actionable business insights.
- Responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business reports and analytics utilizing SAP Business Objects 4.1 and higher.
- Creating and managing BO Universes with a focus on mapping new structures and ensuring data integrity.
- Overseeing the promotion of reports and universes while adhering to Change Management protocols.
- Maintaining comprehensive BO architecture documentation and providing administrative support.
- Demonstrating advanced SQL scripting capabilities and crafting complex queries and stored procedures.
- Implementing security measures by establishing user groups and managing access to BO applications.
- Conducting thorough testing of reports to ensure data accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
- Developing and refining Tableau dashboards to meet business requirements.
- Utilizing HANA and other querying tools to create impactful, scalable dashboards.
- Crafting compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate insights.
- Producing user guides and training materials to facilitate tool utilization.
- Designing and developing visually engaging reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Connecting Power BI to diverse data sources and managing data refresh schedules.
- Enhancing Power BI reports for optimal performance and efficiency.
- Performing independent analysis of data-related issues, particularly in BW Analytics.
- Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Analysis for Office (AFO) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA CDS Views for integration with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Understanding of embedded analytics capabilities within SAP S4HANA and Fiori.
- Commitment to optimizing solutions for improved performance and scalability.
- Enforcing data governance practices to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.
About You
- 5-7 years of experience with SAP Business Objects 4.x is essential.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with Tableau.
- Familiarity with Analysis for Office (AFO) is preferred.
- Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting purposes.
- Technical knowledge of SAP BW on HANA Modelling is a plus.
- Exposure to SAP S4/HANA CDS Views for use in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
- Capacity to engage with all levels of staff and leadership.
- Demonstrated skills in collaboration and negotiation.
