About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing critical financial insights and analysis to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and collaborate in the accounting closing process, ensuring timely completion of specific tasks including PPV and Labor Analysis and Allocations, CAR2 Calculation, Sales and GP Reports, Headcount review, POR Updates, Advance Sales Report, and others.
  • Prepare inventory reconciliations, review activity reports, and post journal entries as needed.
  • Coordinate physical inventories and supervise the cycle count program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs, new part costing, physical inventory, and review of E&O parts.
  • Coordinate and work with various departments to keep track of capital expenditures.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Prepare journal entries for month-end closing and work with GFS team to ensure due dates are met.
  • Prepare payroll reporting and analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and requests as needed by the Business Divisions.

Your financial foresight allows you to analyze financial data, identify trends and opportunities, and develop strategic recommendations that drive informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience in accounting and/or finance-related work.
  • Cost accounting experience required.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate optimally in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Shared services and collaborative work environment experience is preferred.
  • Proficient communication in English and Spanish.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Oracle experience a plus.
