About the Role

Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a highly skilled Bid Manager Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Line Management: Support the CRDS and CDPA takeoffs Product Line Bid Manager team to maintain tables and rules, and to enhance the quality of product takeoffs.
  2. Tool Expertise: As a tool subject matter expert, provide assistance to others within the product line and manufacturing functions with regard to takeoff issues.
  3. Lead Time Indicator Management: Maintain Bid Manager lead time indicator master list for the product line. Coordinate with team members, team manager and pertinent others to ensure accuracy of lead time indicators within the software tool.
  4. Catalog Code Specification: Specify each character in each attribute value, to form the catalog codes of each product.
  5. Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in testing events, as required, to ensure quality product takeoffs.
  6. Product Line Growth: Support team goal to achieve Product Line Growth targets via participation in new product development project teams as a representative for the Bid Manager support group.
  7. Change Management: Ensure that assigned Bid Manager Change Management requests are managed and completed in a timely fashion, with status communication to the appropriate stakeholder.
  8. Team Support: Provide backup support as required to other team members.
  9. Process Improvement: Support and assist product line, front-end and production teams in resolution of process and/or information quality problems associated with the Bid Manager takeoff tool.
  10. Reporting: Provide input to the monthly operations report.
  11. Lean Events: Participate in Lean events and contribute to process improvements designed to reduce cycle time, increase efficiencies and improve information quality.
  12. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety rules and procedures, including 5S requirements, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate management or MESH representative.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Information Technology from an accredited institution.
  2. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of Panelboard/Switchboard work experience with a primary focus of MI generation and linkage to the Eaton Bid Manager tool.
  3. Technical Knowledge: Associates degree in Applied Science majoring in Engineering Graphics Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related engineering field from an accredited institution AND a minimum of one (1) year of work experience supporting the manufacturing, design, assembly and/or order processing of electrical products.
  4. Language Skills: Ability to speak, read, listen and write in English.
