Senior Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Risk Management Specialist - Operational Resilience. This role is responsible for ensuring that all businesses, functions, and entities within Global Corporate and Commercial Banking and Markets and Securities Services units establish and adhere to standards for the management of operational risk as set out in the Group's framework for Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk Management.
Main Responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership, stature, and credibility while exerting influence across the three lines of defense over the execution practices of non-financial risk management.
- Ensure the integrity and timely completeness of risk and control identification, assessment, and information within the Group's Risk and Control system of record (Helios) is proactively maintained.
- Lead and drive independent thematic reviews, challenging areas worthy of further evaluation.
- Attend business non-financial risk and control governance forums, providing Operational Risk oversight and robust and timely Risk Steward challenge of the First Line of Defense (1LOD) view of the resilience risk profile.
Requirements
- Extensive experience working in the Corporate and Investment Banking division of a peer financial institution, with strong knowledge of key institutional banking business activities and association operations.
- Maintain excellent communication and influencing skills, possessing gravitas and strong leadership traits.
- Good knowledge of Risk Management frameworks, with a focus on Non-Financial Risk Management.
- Consistently and eagerly work on enhancing and upgrading skills, leveraging internal and external sources.
- Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude and work ethic, working well in a teamwork environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, demonstrating an innovative and proactive approach to building new and advanced MI and reporting analytics.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent at minimum; graduate degree a plus.
