Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance and planning, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of leadership and team management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage tax teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns and other tax-related projects.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities and maximize tax savings.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement tax policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on tax-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant tax authorities.
Requirements
  • 5-6 years of experience in public accounting with a specialization in tax.
  • Strong understanding of relevant tax legislation and corporate, personal, and partnership tax compliance and planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
  • Team player with a client-focused approach.
  • Displays strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • Working towards a Master's degree in Taxation or a related field.
  • CPA license preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrable success in leading teams in a public accounting setting.
  • Partner-track ambitions.
  • Master's Degree in Taxation or a related field.
  • CPA license.
  • Proficiency with ProSystems FX, and/or RIA Checkpoint.
