Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager to join our Device Services team at Microsoft. As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the development of repair infrastructure supporting NPI programs such as Surface and Xbox.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Management: Drive development operations, including managing and executing development builds, driving factory and supply chain readiness in preparation for high volume manufacturing.
  • Supply Chain Strategy: Drive supply base strategy and execution, including defining supply base architecture, managing supply base risk, and leading execution of manufacturing plans to meet government regulations.
  • Launch Communications: Drive timely launch communications, including broad organizational communications, executive progress updates, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Program Infrastructure: Establish an effective program infrastructure incorporating product technical requirements, program milestones, cross-functional goals, and organizational interdependencies ensuring stakeholder alignment.
  • Schedule Development: Drive schedule development and management of New Product Introduction, identifies and develops milestone scope, and conducts mitigation planning.
  • Financial Impact Planning: Drive financial impact planning, including creating alignment of finance impacting plan assumptions, conducting capital planning, and Strategic Investment Review.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk management efforts in new product introduction, including launch risk management and managing into production.
Technical Program Leadership:
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership across New Product Introduction efforts, prioritizing resources to critical issues.
  • Technical Program Risks: Identify technical program risks and build mitigation plans, proactively creating innovative engineering and process solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronics.
  • Skills: Effective verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronics.
  • Skills: Experience with Microsoft hardware products or similar high-volume consumer electronics.
