Ecommerce Assistant Designer

The Assistant Designer will play a crucial role in developing on-trend generic and licensed designs for apparel, working closely with Creative Leads and the Art Director. This position requires a creative background and skillset to contribute original design creation and revisions within the Apparel Design field.

• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to execute graphic ideas and develop design concepts.
• Work with Creative Leads to understand brand and sales needs, creating thumbnails and ideations for design concepts.
• Effectively communicate design and software discussions, providing insight on future growth opportunities through researching licenses and current events.
• Manage workloads from multiple sources, informing the Art Director of any conflicts and ensuring accurate use of comp descriptions and naming procedures.
• Develop an understanding of the production process, utilizing department network and procedures to ensure designs and assets are maintained and protected.
• Maintain ownership over projects and perform other duties as assigned.

• Graphic Design degree or diploma, or equivalent years of in-house/agency design experience or recent Graphic Design graduate.
• Strong knowledge of current Adobe Creative Suite and web software with an artistic/design background.
• Understanding of Trello and MOD and POD Business a plus.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work well within a team environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with Creative Leads and possess a strong desire to learn and problem-solve.
• Team-player with an eye for layout and color.
