Financial Controller - Strategic Financial Leadership

In a rapidly changing business landscape, CommScope is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead our accounting and treasury functions. As a key member of our senior executive team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our operations in Mexico, while driving process standardization and improving working capital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise tax, treasury, and accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, cash and bank, inventory, fixed assets, and direct and indirect taxes.
  • Proactively handle inventory risks and develop strategies to improve working capital.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems and processes in accordance with company procedures and policies.
  • Ensure accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data according to US GAAP and Mexican GAAP, and in compliance with local statutory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a sound system of internal controls for SOX 404 compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Work with BU Finance to develop annual operation budgets and manage the compilation of financial analysis on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc basis.
  • Represent local company externally on all finance-related matters and act as a liaison with government, internal and external auditors, and financial institutions.
  • Lead a team of finance employees, develop staffing plans and spending budgets, set annual performance objectives, and monitor their performance.

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Accounting.
  • 10-15 years of experience in Accounting, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
  • Proficient in English language (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle 11i, Oracle Cloud, and SAP Controlling Module.
  • Proven ability to work within a global environment, with experience in foreign locations a plus.
