About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Mechanical Engineer to join our Thermal Mechanical Solutions engineering team at Intel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing predictive structural analysis and solutions for state-of-the-art systems within the Intel Data Center Platform Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop predictive structural analysis and solutions for data center systems
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary global team to contribute to the development of cooling solutions, retention mechanisms, and implementation of new technologies
  • Perform structural feasibility analysis, create detailed component level and system level FEA models in Abaqus CAE, and provide recommendations and solutions based on analysis results
  • Interact with suppliers and customers worldwide
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent field
  • 2+ years of experience performing static and dynamic structural FEA analysis using Abaqus CAE or equivalent FEA tool
  • Working knowledge of mechanical design and FEA process modeling
  • Advanced English and Spanish language skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent field
  • Experience with HVM manufacturing processes, heat transfer, heatsink design, server architecture, and layouts
  • Knowledge of structural FMEA, scripting experience for automation in ABQ CAE, and hands-on tools such as hand tools, Instron or MTS, force testers, and Creep and load degradation analysis
