The team you will be part of is responsible for:
- Analyzing product functionality in the Mexican market and understanding relevant regulations.
- Understanding IFRS impacts and analyzing financial data structures of new products and features.
- Determining journal entries and changes in regulatory reports based on established frameworks.
- Conducting research and analysis on technical accounting matters, including new accounting regulation and pronouncements.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers, Engineers, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
- Building reports and insights to support Nubank's financial strategy.
- Coordinating activities related to internal and external audits.
- Working with Analytics Engineers and Finance Platform analysts to design and implement data architecture.
We require a professional with:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in financial institutions.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with IFRS and NIFs.
- Ability to prepare accounting journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.
- Experience with CNBV regulatory reports.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and SQL knowledge.
